Tolling Discounts
Did you know that GeauxPass offers several different toll
discount options, depending on the toll facility you use?
The requirements to apply for and receive these discounts
are described below. Once your account qualifies for a
discount, you must ensure your account is in good standing
with a positive balance in order to continue to qualify for
the discount. The best way to ensure you always have a
positive balance in your account is to be enrolled in the
Auto Replenishment program with a valid credit/debit card or
e-Check (bank account) on file.
LA1 Commuter Discount
To qualify for and receive the non-resident discounted LA1
commuter rate, a customer must make 20 trips in a Class 1
vehicle on the Tomey J. Doucet Bridge (LA1) over a period of
60 days with a valid GeauxPass. Once the customer makes
enough trips to meet the threshold, the discount is
automatically applied to their GeauxPass account. Note that
the LA1 commuter discount is 40%. The discount will only
apply to Class 1 vehicles and will be applied to the toll
assigned to your account.
LA1 Resident Discount
To qualify for the LA1 resident discount, a customer must
provide proof of permanent residency in Grand Isle. This
includes submitting a copy of the vehicle registration and
one of the following documents with matching name and
address:
- An official Louisiana driver's license
- Proof of homestead exemption
- A voter registration card
Once qualified with a good-standing account, the customer
will receive free passage on LA1 with a valid GeauxPass in
accordance with Louisiana Revised Statutes § 47:820.5.7.
LA1 Recreational Boat Discount
To qualify, customers must provide the license plate of the
boat trailer and the towing vehicle, along with proof of
boat and trailer registration. Once qualified with a
good-standing account, customers pulling a recreational boat
with a valid GeauxPass will pay the Class 2 toll rate on LA1
in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statutes §
47:820.5.4.1. Note that recreational boats do not include
commercial vessels or those carrying paying passengers.
LA23 Belle Chasse Bridge Plaquemines Parish Resident
Discount
To qualify, customers must provide proof of permanent
residency in Plaquemines Parish, including a copy of the
vehicle registration and a Louisiana driver's license.
Military members living on base at NAS JRB New Orleans who
do not have local residency may qualify by providing one of
the following:
- Barracks housing check-in
- On-base apartment lease
- On-base RV slip
Once qualified with a good-standing account, customers will
receive the discounted resident rate on LA23. The resident
rate is subject to annual adjustment.
LA23 Belle Chasse Bridge Militia Discount
To qualify, customers must provide proof of Louisiana
National Guard (LANG) membership, including a LANG Toll
Waiver Memorandum and matching driver’s license.
Qualified customers receive free toll passage for the first
90 trips per calendar month on LA23 with a valid GeauxPass.
LA23 Belle Chasse Bridge Firefighter Discount
To qualify, customers are validated against the approved
firefighters list. Please contact a GeauxPass representative
to establish an account.
Full-time and part-time firefighters receive free toll
passage for the first 40 trips taken within each calendar
month on LA23 with a valid GeauxPass.
Disabled Veterans Discount
To qualify, customers must provide an official Louisiana
driver’s license and proof of vehicle registration. The
vehicle must be registered in the disabled veteran's or
spouse's name.
If the license plate is not a Disabled Veteran, Purple
Heart, or Military Honors plate, one of the following must
also be included:
- Service-connected card
- Documentation showing disability status
Once qualified with a good-standing account, customers
receive free passage on both LA1 and LA23 with a valid
GeauxPass.
Submitting Documentation
The easiest way to submit documentation is via our website
GeauxPass.com.
- Navigate to the Web Inquiry Form.
- Ensure contact information is correct.
- Select the reason: Resident Discount.

comments.
- Upload the required documentation.
- Click Submit Inquiry.
After submitting, an email with a case number will be sent.
If you do not receive it, please call GeauxPass at
866-662-8987 to confirm receipt. GeauxPass will follow up
with confirmation of qualification.
